McCALLUM, William I. (July 12, 1942 - November 16, 2008) - William Innes McCallum, age 66, of RR 1, Stratford, passed away suddenly at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener on Sunday, November 16, 2008. Bill was born at Stratford on July 12, 1942, a son of the late Donald McCallum (1948) and the former Isabel Innes (1993). He was a step-son of the late Lloyd A. Robertson (1987). He had farmed at Lot 24 and 25, Concession 6 of North Easthope township; was a member of Perth County Holstein Club for 41 years and was a longtime member of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture. Bill is survived by his wife, the former Doreen Beatrice Hammer whom he married at St. James Lutheran Church, North Easthope on April 21, 1961; his children, Karen and husband Mike Barendregt of Port Stanley, John and wife Sheryl McCallum of RR 1, Stratford, Sharon and husband Bruce Neeb of RR 2, Gadshill, David McCallum of RR 1, Stratford; his grandchildren, Krista, Julie and Richard Barendregt, Jennifer and husband Carman Kyle, Suzie McCallum and Chris Draper, Amanda and Jill McCallum, Randy, Robert, Eric and Angela Neeb; his sisters and brothers, Robina and husband Gordon Alexander of Listowel, Donald and wife Sue McCallum of Toronto, Anne and husband Brien White of Lacombe, Alta., Alex and wife Joe-Ann Robertson of Stratford, Marjorie and husband Bill Wilson of Blueridge, Alta., Margaret and husband Rick Thorn of Calahoo, Alta., James and wife Darlene Robertson of RR 1, Stratford; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gordon Cossey and his wife Jean of Tavistock, Herta McCallum of Robb, Alta., Mary and husband Ken Thomas, Ross and wife Linda Hammer, Brenda and husband Jeff Mayhew, all of Kitchener; Reid Hammer of Millbank, Leonard and wife Marilyn Hammer of Dryden, James Coneybeare of Listowel. Bill was predeceased by his sister, Jean (McCallum) Cossey; his brother, Robert McCallum; and his sisters-in-law, Verna (Hammer) Coneybeare and June Hammer. Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home , 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 2 p.m. Pastor Patricia Jackson will officiate. Interment in St. Andrew's Cemetery, North Easthope, township of Perth East.
