KAUFMAN, Ronald Gordon "Honey" - 78, of Woodstock passed away in Woodstock General Hospital on Saturday, August 22, 2009. He was born in East Zorra Township, near Cassel, on April 2, 1931 a son of the late Edwin and Emma (Wettlaufer) Kaufman. Ronald had been employed at the Ralston Purina Mill in Woodstock for forty years. He is survived by his wife, the former Gloria Kathryn Zehr, whom he married at Hickson on December 1, 1956; four sons, David and Dale, both of Woodstock; Kerry and Chris, both of Toronto; three grandchildren, Amanda, Lindsay and Eric; one great granddaughter, Isabella Tribble; one brother, Harold and wife Irene Kaufman of Woodstock; one sister, Irma Hutchison of Woodstock; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Marilyn Zehr, Kenneth P. Zehr and his friend Grace Wettlaufer, Ward and Karen Zehr, Boyd and Irene Zehr, Bruce and Linda Zehr, John and Barbara Zehr, Judie and Jim Van Dusen, Debbie and Dave Hyslop. He was predeceased by brother and sisters-in-law, Jim "Kye" and Helen Kaufman, Roy "Hummer" and Marie Kaufman, Tom and wife Helen Kaufman and his brother-in-law, Jack Hutchison. Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Betty Jean Page of Hebron United Church will officiate. Interment in East Zorra 17th Line E.U.B. Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be made through the Francis Funeral Home.
