- (Research):POOLE, Mabel - Mabel passed
away peacefully at the age of 90 years
surrounded by her family at Knollcrest
Lodge in Milverton on September
10, 2009. She was born in
Mornington Township, a daughter of
the late Joseph and Leah (Kropf)
Ropp. Mabel was a member of Poole
Mennonite Church where she had
been secretary of the sewing circle
for many years and a member of the
over 50 club. Mabel enjoyed flowers,
playing games, knitting, tatting and
crocheting as her hobbies. Beloved
wife of Lorne Poole, whom she married
August 18, 1940. They had
farmed south of Poole for 40 years before
retiring in Milverton in 1987.

Sandra McGaughey of Listowel.
Dear grandmother of Kyra, T.J.
and Samantha, Nathan and Nicole,
Josh and Samantha. Special greatgrandmother
of Destiny, Tabitha and
Katrina. Also remembered by son-inlaw,
Bob McGaughey of Milverton.
Mabel will be sadly missed by all
family members. Mabel was predeceased
by her brother, Irvin and his
wife Eleanor Ropp; her brothers-inlaw
and sisters-in-law, William and
Fanny Poole, Norman and Ruby
Poole, John and Emma Poole, Clara
and Gordon Schultz, Roy and Sylvia
Poole, and Emma and Elroy Schultz.
Friends and relatives may call at the
Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer
St., Milverton on Sunday, September
13, 2009 from 7-9 p.m.,
Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. On
Tuesday, September 15, 2009 transfer
will be made to Poole Mennonite
Church for the service at 2 p.m. with
Pastor Paul Dyck officiating. Burial
to follow in the adjoining cemetery.
