Obituary:
- Oliver and Amanda Martin lived at 69 Dorset Street in Waterloo, Ontario, where they raised two children: Earl (1893-1962) and Pearl/Bertha(1900-?). Oliver was employed by the Jacob Y. Shantz Button Factory on Water Street North, Kitchener (formerly Berlin), Ontario.
Oliver was tragically killed in train accident (the Spanish River derailment) west of Sudbury, Ontario on January 21, 1910.

The Spanish River derailment was a rail transport accident that occurred on 21 January 1910, on the Canadian Pacific Railway Webbwood Subdivision where the railway crosses the Spanish River near the settlement of Nairn in Northern Ontario, Canada near Sudbury, Ontario. A westbound passenger express train derailed and crashed into the bridge, killing at least 43 passengers, though the death count varies.
