The home of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Uttley, 151 Church street, was the scene of a happy event Saturday afternoon at 3.30 o'clock when their daughter, Miss Florence Isobel Uttley, became the bride of Mr. Roy Leonard Burgetz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Burgetz. Rev. U. K. Weber, pastor of the Sterling avenue Mennonite church, officiated.
The bride wore a floor-length gown of Tyrol green transparent velvet with gold flower headdress and she carried pale pink Talisman roses and lily of the valley.
She was attended by Miss Luella Kropf wearing a floor-length gown of dubonnet transparent velvet gown with a gold flowered headdress and carrying a bouquet of red Sweetheart roses.
Mr. Gordon Burgetz was the best man.
Miss Mae Clemens played the wedding music.
The rooms were prettily decorated with pink decorations and white wedding bells. Following the ceremony, wedding refreshments were served from a table centred with a wedding cake.
Among the 50 guests present were out of town relatives and friends from Waterloo, Galt, Centreville, Toronto and Blair.
After the reception the bride and bridegroom left to spend their honeymoon in Toronto. The bride wore for travelling a green silk crepe dress with green shoes and gloves and a black coat and hat.
