Beloved wife of the late Don Waters; loving mother of Don Waters (Sue), Banff, Alberta; Kathy Waters, Waterloo; Bob Waters (Deborah), Ottawa and Jane Waters (Laurie), Toronto. Loving grandmother to Mary Lynne, Eugenie and Rosanne and cherished great grandmother to Eric, James and Aubrey. Survived by three of her sisters, Frances Clappison (Phillip), Jean Phalp (Brian, deceased) and Pauline Graham (Jim) and two of her brothers, Gerry Brubacher (Lola) and Sheldon Brubacher (Barb). Predeceased by her parents Ralph and Bella Brubacher, her brothers Claude and Harold Brubacher and sisters Alice McDonald and Beatrice Stephenson.
Mom was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a caring and loving sister and a kind aunt, and a beloved friend and neighbour to many in the St. George community. She was a devoted member of the St. George United Church. Mom worked tirelessly beside dad on their farm, Orchard Home, on the Howell Road north of St. George, for over forty years. She was intelligent, wise, always curious, quiet and considerate, and she always put others first. Mom was a natural teacher. She was extremely well read and loved to listen to the CBC. We all have delicious memories of mom's cooking and baking that truly "schmeked". She loved being outdoors and summer, spring and fall she worked patiently on her beautiful flower garden. She loved the textile arts and spent hours weaving and embroidering. While living at St Joseph's Lifecare Centre mom enjoyed her many walks in the garden and her visits with Jane and Laurie's Golden Retriever, Sam.
Sincere gratitude to all the staff at St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre, Brantford for their compassionate care for mom. As expressions of sympathy donations to the St. George United Church would be appreciated. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of mom's life will be held at a later date.
