- (Research):Obituary, THE RECORD - Mar. 28, 2006FERGUSON, Kathaleen Yvonne (Kathy) - Passed away peacefully, at her home, on March 26, 2006, in her 69th year. Kathy is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Marshall (Mike) Ferguson. Loving mother of Tracey and her husband Jim Vlasveld of Guelph and devoted "Ammie" of Emily. Fondly remembered by her sister, Jeannette (Clare Downey) of West Montrose and Carol Martin of Salem. Survived by many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and always in the hearts of her best friends, Vykkie and Gerry Saunders of Guelph. Predeceased by her son, Stacey (1973) and her parents, Myron Martin (1985) and Thelma Martin (1992). Kathy was a registered nurse at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus for 30 years, many of those years she served as Head Nurse on the Maternity Ward. Kathy will be fondly remembered by her many friends from the horse shows and more recently the dog shows. Kathy bred, raised and showed champion Dobermans in Canada and the United States. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 37 Church St. East in Elora, on March 29, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on March 30, 2006 at 11 a.m. Interment at Elora Cemetery.
