- (Research):Della M. Culp, of Second Street, Vineland, died Monday June 29, 1987 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in St. Catharines after a brief illness. She was 75. She was born and lived in Vineland all her life and was a member of the First Mennonite Church. Della taught school for 41 years, nine in a one-room school at Bismark, two years at Lakeshore School where she was also principal and 30 years at Rittenhouse School, where she first taught home economics and then Grades 1 and 2. Miss Culp is survived by: a sister, Clara High; a sister-in-law, Jeanne Culp; and nieces and nephews, Elizabeth High, Dean and Karen High, Ralph and Jane Culp and Carolyn and John Hay. A brother, George Culp, died in 1983. The funeral service was held at the First Mennonite Church Tuesday, July 1, with Rev. Harold High officiating. Casket bearers were: James Culp, Michael Culp, Ralph Culp, John Hay, Dean High and Leslie High.
