Poth, Beth;
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Beth) Poth (nee Becker) on Saturday, February 12 at the age of 74.
She was married to her best friend and love of her life Don for 52 years. Loving mother to Julie (Kevin) Dopko and Amy Poth. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Nathan, Emily and Brendan Dopko and Spencer, Grayson, Parker and Ruby Fung. A dear sister to Joyce Poth, Chris (Steve) Irvine and Jane (Craig) Brown.
Predeceased by her brother Doug ( Barb), brother-in-law Richard and sister-in-law Pat. Sadly, missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.
She was born and raised in Roseville and spent nearly 30 years teaching primary students at Princeton and Plattsville schools. Beth loved travelling the world with Don and her close friends and especially loved spending quality time at the cottage on the Severn River. She could often be found cheering on her grandkids in hockey arenas, at the soccer field and watching them swim and tube at the cottage. She had the gift of hospitality, loved to garden and spent hours crocheting prayer blanket squares for those in the community. She was a member of the Baptist Church of New Dundee, the Women's Institute and the Waterloo Women's Probus.
The family wishes to thank the community of New Dundee, our friends, family and the Baptist Church for their heartfelt concern and support. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the New Dundee Beautification Committee or to Make-A-Wish Canada.
