- (Research):BELL, Emmalene - Emmalene Marie Bell, 84, of Shakespeare, passed away in Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, September 1, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born in South Easthope Township, Perth County on April 18, 1928, a daughter of the late Aaron and Mary Ann (Ruby) Gerber. She was a School Bus Driver for Diamond Coach Lines, a member of the (SCAA) Shakespeare and Community Athletic Association; had coached many of her children's baseball teams, and above all was a devoted fan for all teams; an avid golfer and member of the Ladies League at the Tavistock Golf Course; a member of Shakespeare Presbyterian Church. For the past 31 years she and her husband Bill had spent the winters at Sunnybreeze Harbor and were members of the Sunnybreeze Christian Fellowship in Arcadia, Florida. Emmalene is survived by her husband William Gordon "Bill" Bell, whom she married at Shakespeare on January 24, 1948; ten children, Dianne Currah (Larry), Donna LeSouder (Pete), Darlene Schmidt (Calvin), Joe Bell (Cathie), Brian Bell (Harla Morris), Bruce Bell (Sandy), John Bell (Connie), Pete Bell (Bev), Deb Bell (Paul Bender) and Denise Bell-McCabe; 33 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one brother, Walter and wife Myrna Gerber of Stratford; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ethel and husband Ken Innes of Stratford, Bob Bell of Florida, Donald and wife Diana Bell of Woodstock; step-sister, Ruth and husband David Steinman of Baden, step-sisters-in-law, Irma Kipfer of Topping, Jean Cook of New Hamburg. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her step-mother, Mary (Steckley) (Kipfer) Gerber; her brother Delford Gerber; her great grandson, Joey Erb; her step-sister, Eileen and husband Norman Wettlaufer; her step-brother, Laverne Kipfer; her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bernice Bell, Ray and Betty Bell. Relatives and friends will be received at the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock St.N., Tavistock, on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Shakespeare Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Terry Hastings will officiate. Interment in St. Andrew's Cemetery, North Easthope, Township of Perth East.
