Obituary:
- • Mr. George M. Schwindt, age 77, of Elmira died on Monday, Sept. 25, at the Elmira Private Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in Woolwich Twp., Jan. 30, 1890, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Schwindt.
He farmed in the N. Woolwich District until he retired in 1952 and moved to Elmira. He was a member of Zion E.U.B. Church, Elmira.
Surviving are his wife the former Marion Miller, six sons, Homer, Arnold and Ward of Elmira; Rev. Floyd of High Prairie, Alberta; Rev. Bruce of Portage La Prairie, Manitoba; Howard of Grand Prairie, Alberta. Three daughters, Mrs. Lorne (Melba) Martin, Elmira; Mrs. Vernon (Eileen) Gingrich of Elmira and Mrs. Walter (Susan) Holst, Waterloo. Three sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Luella) Feil and Mrs. Philip (Florence) Sippel of Dearborn, Mich., and Mrs. Norman (Emma) Koch, Waterloo. Two brothers, Edmund of North Woolwich, Andrew of Salem also twenty-nine grandchildren. Two sisters and one brother predeceased her.
The body will be at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlour. The service will be in the chapel today (Wednesday) at 2:30. Burial in N. Woolwich E.U.B. Cemetery. Rev. M.E. Reuber will officiate.
