SCHWINDT, Mary Janet Elizabeth Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on Monday, April 22, 2013 at Lisaard House, Cambridge, at the age 67. Mary left a lasting impression in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her. While it seems unbearable to think of life without her, we know she is free of pain and in a better place. Beloved wife of Gary Schwindt for 47 wonderful years. Dear mother of Brent of Guelph, Todd (Kim) of New Hamburg and Jason (Laura) of Kitchener. Mary's pride and joy were her grandchildren Hope, Brooklyn, Jade, Tyler, Cole, Kai and Brady. Mary will be missed by Linda Schwindt. Dear sister of Graham MacDougall (Ruby) of London, Ken MacDougall (Ruth Ann) of New Brunswick and Jim MacDougall (Anne) of Courtice, ON. Dear sister-in-law of Anne MacDougall of Holstein. Survived by her mother-in-law Marion Schwindt and brother -in-law Daryl Schwindt. Predeceased by her parents Agnes and Jack MacDougall and brothers Jack, Donald (Tuffy), Lincoln, Peter and her sister-in-law Betty and father-in-law Wray Schwindt. Mary was born in Mt. Forest where she met the love of her life. She had many wonderful friends and was quick to lend a hand to those in need. Everyone loved and admired Mary for her kindness, love, compassion and endearing smile! As one friend said, "she did it all with such style and grace". Mary drew her strength from her family. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren at the cottage and enjoyed watching them play hockey, figure skate and play soccer. Mary's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, April 25 from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, April 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467. Funeral service 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 54 Queen St. N., Kitchener followed by a reception in Iona Hall. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church or Lisaard House would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
