- (Research):Nafziger, Aaron, son of Andrew and Catherine (Schweitzer) Nafziger, was born in Brunner, Ont., Oct. 16, 1895; died at Stratford, Ont., Dec. 10, 1985; aged 90 y. On Dec. 9, 1926, he was married to Elizabeth Golitis, who died on Nov. 5, 1978. Surviving are one daughter (Edna Tigani), 5 sons (John, Robert, William, Donald, and Jacob), 15 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 3 brothers (Rudy, John, and Valentine). He was preceded in death by one son (Joseph). He was a member of Riverdale Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Dec. 13, in charge of Glenn Zehr and David K. Jantzi; interment in Riverdale Mennonite Cemetery.
MR. AARON E. NAFZIGER
Born 16 October, 1895 in Brunner, Ontario
Died 10 December, 1985 at Stratford General Hospital; aged 90 years.
Aaron was a son of the late Andrew Nafziger and the former Catherine Schweitzer. He has resided at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton and was a member of Millbank Riverdale Mennonite Church.
Beloved husband of the former Elizabeth Golitits whom he married December 9, 1926 at Atglen, Penn. And who predeceased him November 5, 1977.
Lovingly remembered by his children, Edna Tigani of Milverton, John and his wife Barbara of Newton, Robert and his wife Rose of San Francisco, Cal., William and his wife Judy of Poole, Donald of Abbotsford, B.C., Jacob and his wife Sharon of Maple Ridge, B.C., dear brother of Rudy of new Hamburg, John of Wellesley, Valentine of Millbank. Sadly missed by 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons, Joseph, and one in infancy, three brothers, Eli, Ezra and Christian; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Gerber and Mrs. Elizabeth Gascho.
Friends and relatives called at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 9 Pacific Avenue, Milverton until Friday, December 13, 1985, at noon when transfer was made to Riverdale Mennonite Church for the service at 2:00 p.m. with Glenn Zehr officiating. Interment followed in the Church Cemetery
