RITTENHOUSE - BURKHOLDER - The marriage of Miss Ethel Eileen Burkholder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Burkholder, Vineland, to Mr. Ernest Miller Rittenhouse, son of Mrs. Anna Rittenhouse and the late Jacob Rittenhouse of Jordan Station, took place on Saturday afternoon at the home of the bride's parents. Rev. H.S. Hallman officiated. Miss Ina Burkholder, sister of the bride, played the wedding music, and during the signing of the register, Miss Dorothy Cook sang "When the silver threads are shining 'mong the gold." The bride was given in marriage by her father. With her gown of white chenille, embroidered satin, she wore a finger tip veil caught with pink rosebuds. She carried a bouquet of Briacliff roses, blue iris and white gypsophilia. Mrs. Nile Shantz of Plattsville, sister of the bride, was her only attendant, gowned in shell pink sheer crepe and carrying pink snapdragons. Mr. Harry Rittenhouse, brother of the groom, was best man. After a reception was held. The bride's mother a redingote ensemble of printed crepe with a corsage of Premier roses. The groom's mother wore a printed sheer with a corsage of Johanna Hill roses. For travelling the bride donned a navy outfit with red and white accessories. On their return the couple will reside at Jordan Station.
